Zach grew up in the mountains of West Virginia where he spent most of his time exploring the forest and connecting with nature. From a young age he had a desire to help people. Zach joined the Army in 2009 as a medic stationed at Ft. Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas. Upon release from the Army Zach studied Graphic Design and Fine Art at Marshall University.
Zach moved to Asheville in early 2013, where he worked as the Program Director for a sober living facility for addicts in recovery. There he realized his passion for helping people with substance abuse issues. In March of 2015, Zach joined Four Circles as a wilderness guide and was introduced to the world of wilderness therapy. He fell in love with the program and progressed to Senior Guide.
Zach now works as our Logistics Coordinator, handling gear, adventure activities and scheduling.
