Staff Member Sarah Broughton

Sarah Broughton, MS, LPC, LCAS


Sarah holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Western Carolina University, as well as a Master’s degree in Organic and Sustainable Agriculture from the University of Tennessee – Knoxville. Prior to coming to Four Circles Recovery Center, Sarah has worked in residential, home-based, and outpatient settings supporting adolescents and adults suffering from addiction, and a variety of mood, behavioral, neurological, and developmental disorders.

After completing her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at UNC-Asheville, Sarah worked in a therapeutic farming program as an AmeriCorps volunteer where she realized her interest in experiential, nature-based therapies. Sarah is particularly interested in combining her love of horticulture and yoga in the therapeutic process. Sarah is trained and draws from several modalities, including: Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused, Nonviolent Communication, and Family Systems.

In her free time, Sarah enjoys hiking, volunteering in a community garden, and playing fiddle.
