E.J. is an outdoor professional dedicated to life-enriching wilderness experiences while ensuring the physical and emotional safety of FCRC clients and staff.
A graduate of the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) and the Colorado Mountain College, E.J. has diverse wilderness skills including back country backpacking, canoeing, white-water and sea kayaking, mountaineering, rock climbing, ice climbing, and dogsled mushing/handling. He is certified in multiple disciplines including Wilderness First Responder, Clinical First Responder, Leave No Trace Master Educator, ACA Level Four Canoe Instructor, and Swift Water Rescue.
E.J.’s personal adventures have included a summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro, swimming from Alcatraz to San Francisco, and guiding clients through rugged back country throughout the United States. His current passions include playing music and mountain biking throughout Appalachia.
