Field Medic
Four Circles Recovery Center, a wilderness substance abuse recovery program for young adults, is seeking a Field Medic to oversee the immediate health, safety and welfare of clients and field personnel. Requirements: must be at least 21 years old, must have either EMT, W-EMT and/or Wilderness First Responder (WFR) certification; CPR/Fisrt Aid Instructor Certification also required; ability to think quickly and decisively in emergency situations; must demonstrate competency in crisis interventions and decision making; and ability to exercise good judgment when working with clients with drug and alcohol issues. Main Duties: Direct field staff in appropriate course of action in the event of injury or illness; ensure that field staff has access to resources to treat minor illnesses or injuries in the field; recommends which cases may need to be treated out of the field; performs weekly med checks with clients; MAR and bubble pack organizing and assists logistics as needed.
